Improving communication: Small words, huge impact

by Betty Lochner on March 17, 2011

When it comes to showing gratitude and improving communication with each other, small works!

Here are five of my favorite small words that have a huge impact on communicating in relationships.

1. Please.

First things first. Be polite and show respect. Always say please.

2. Thank you.

Underused and the value is way under-rated.

3. I’m sorry.

Say specifically what you are sorry for, for even greater impact.

4. I understand.

Empathy is a great communicator.

5. Great job.

Don’t you wish everyone focused more on the positive things that happen?
