My 12 days of Christmas

by Betty Lochner on December 21, 2010

This has been one wild week. One filled with family – maybe too much family – and a lot of chaos.  Between extra work, extra family, and extra dogs, the week seemed like at least 12 days. So, I decided to parody the 12 Days of Christmas song to illustrate.

I sang this to my staff as a Christmas gift today.  I usually send hand written cards with special hand made treats. This year, well, they got a song… see  me sing it in a video (with cameo from my dogs) click the title link.  It’s now my Christmas gift to YOU (better luck next year)!

My 12 days of Christmas

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

12 cards not written,

11 socks gone missing,

10 cups of coffee,

9 chewed up slippers,

8 Christmas parties,

7 friends from college,

6 kinds of candy

5 hours of sleep!…

4 gifts for wrapping,

3 barking dogs,

2 teenage nephews,

And another batch of cookies to be made.

Wishing you all a peaceful and Merry Christmas!
